Nectar Cafe

This may be one of the best coffee shops in Durham. The staff is super friendly, drinks were great, and they offer a variety of delicious baked goods, small salads, charcuterie, and desserts. Although it’s small, there’s additional seating outside. Location is by Durham food hall & a free bar/ breweries.

Their coffee and matcha are one of the best I’ve tried! I’ve definitely made this my go to spot every week to study/work.

The young lady working greeted me with genuine joy, as if she was excited to see me, even though it was my first visit. She was kind, welcoming, and very customer service oriented. I really appreciated how she made me feel valued as a customer. I ordered a ginger lemon tea. It was good.

The folks at Foster St Coffee (owners)have done it again with this new location called Nectar! Excellent atmosphere superbly appointed in the new Geer House building. It's a big city vibe in up and coming Durham, but with an impressive interior and exterior that invite you to stay awhile. Well done to Dan and team for pulling this off. I'd love to highly recommend it, but it's the double edge sword of revealing the hip new spot and having it become overrun with hipsters and long lines. I'll be back, and wish the team all the success that comes with doing something this well. Even if it means I won't get the best table or zero lines someday. We got the best service from Adya & Leah! Our breakfast sandwiches were tasty & I enjoyed their seasonal latte as well. Definitely try their macarons too!
