New Bedford's West Beach

7/29/2026: This review is for the people who come and trash the beach like the ppl who did last night. See 2 videos posted. You ppl suck! What an embarrassment. No respect for nature. You got a city beach at your back yard & this is how you treat it. Shame on you! City needs to do a beach curfew because if you. Bad enough the trash you leave during the day. But this I found from last night is beyond disgusting. 8/2/2023: I see an huge effort made by the state/life guards the beach been looking way cleaner. Deserves a 4 star now. Thank-you A beautiful local public beach if you don’t mind the garbage & stepping on cigarettes & LOUD music which is not necessary, get some earbuds. The beaches on the fort don’t get the respect it deserves from it’s locals who are lucky to have 😔. M

KEEP WEST BEACH CLEAN !! Take your trash with you or dispose in trash bins! New Bedford's peninsula & southern coast is beautiful but its environment is under constant threat from human impact. Keep Massachussetts beaches & coastal waters clean. DO NOT LITTER! Do not be ignorant & clean up after yourself. Protecting the ocean and its environment is everyone's responsibility . Be that change and progress the world around you so desperately needs.
