New York Chicken & Gyro Pasadena

Ordered a Mix Platter which contains marinated chicken and seasoned lamb over rice served with lettuce, tomatoes, and their signature white sauce. This tastes great, the chicken has a spice that has been well marinated into the meat. The shreds of meat are nice and easy to consume. The seasoned lamb is only finely crumbled and still has a nice inherent lamb flavor. The rice underneath is well seasoned too and so is the salad. Mix this all together to create a nice mixture of flavors where the chicken spice is matched to the fattiness of the lamb and the crispness of the vegetables inside, sweetened by the white sauce. You can add more white sauce as well as a red sauce for more kick if you’d like. This place is on a busy street and there’s a decent lunch crowd that stops by. There is some

I came in for the first time today and right off the bat I was greeted with a big smile and amazing customer service. The lady at the counter Elizabeth was super helpful in explaining the menu and different options they have. I decided for the mix platter and loved the food as well. There are many options of great food around the area but most lack the excellent customer service and this place definitely has it. Just hope all employees have Elizabeth’s energy and charisma and this might be my weekly place for dinner.

Love the place and the food but you must have some new people working there. As a regular customer. For ordering extra meat everytime this is the first time ive seen this PLATTER not full. Im just dumbfounded. This is not what it is supposed to look like... Did we skimp out on rice or meat? (I started deating we skimped on the meat and i paid for extra).... come on!!!!! I love this place, please dont let it go downhill. I can't lose new york chicken and gyro as a staple. I am quite disappointed and frankly just sad about it. I started eating and have to say that the 3 stars was reduced to 2 because I feel like the lamb has been sitting under a heat lamp for a few hours. The flavors are there especially with the sauce but the meat tastes dry and the flavors are not poppin.

Don't come here thinking you're going to get the traditional Greek gyro. The meat is cubed rather than shaved. Just thrown inside the pita with tomatoes and lettuce. We got it to-go because the music inside was too loud and did not match the atmosphere for this type of food. I hate leaving bad reviews I'm just saying what I felt. Definitely not a returning customer.
