Amazing food, drinks, service. Historic building, adequate bathroom, limited parking. Very meaty sandwiches. Plenty of places to sit indoors and outdoors. Really a great place to relax and have an afternoon lunch. I love all of the old fruit crate labels and photographs inside. Really adds charm. Highly recommended

Also known as the rat trap. I had the rat trap sandwich today. Heated on the Dutch crunch roll and it was mighty good. It's an old building that's very unique, but it's got some pretty dog gone good sandwiches.

Newcastle Cheese Shop AKA The Rat Trap, to the locals, is a community favorite. It's one of our best kept secrets. Everything is fresh and delicious. I would recommend calling in your order, so you don't have to wait in the long line. Otherwise, arrive after 1 pm to have the place to yourself. As you stand in line, grab your drinks and chips. I would recommend having the cheese shop have order slips ready for the customers to fill out while they stand in line. On the barrel by the door would be an ideal spot.
