Nick The Greek

Nick the Greek has quickly become one of our favorite fast‑casual spots in Mira Mesa. The food comes out in a timely manner, but nothing about it tastes rushed. Everything we tried had that balance of freshness, seasoning, and texture that makes Greek comfort food so satisfying. The standout was the pork belly gyro; I didn’t expect to see pork belly on the menu of a Greek restaurant, and now can’t imagine not ordering it. The pork belly was crisp on the edges, tender inside, and seasoned beautifully. Wrapped in warm pita with fresh toppings and sauce, it hit that perfect mix of rich, bright, and savory. Service from Johnas was superb. He and the owner Gary were so welcoming. We were offered samples of their frozen Greek yogurt dessert while we were trying to figure out what to order. It was very tasty. Johnas went over the menu with us and offered his recommendations. Ordered the Chicken souvlaki pita with French fries and it was pretty good. The veggie pita with additional falafels was good too. The owner Gary also gave us a baklava to try as well. It was delicious!

GREAT FOOD!!! So nice to finally have a Greek restaurant in that mall. Just opened about a month ago. LOVE the fresh pita bread, proteins and produce used. Oh the Tzatziki sauce is amazing. We definitely will be going more often and using their catering services with our meetings.

If you’re looking for a fast casual Greek spot this is the place to go!!! They have super generous portion sizes. Definitely try their chicken gyro which is very flavorful, and their chicken souvlaki is juicy and tender. Don’t forget their beef lamb gyro which they always give a very generous portion

Nice welcoming staff and Manager. Average meal (pork belly pita), Next time will try something else. Clean place. A little short menu. Plenty of parking. Clean bathroom. Vending soda machine.
