Our car club drive ended at this location, and the restaurant is big enough to accommodate large and small parties. The view for the restaurant is amazing and relaxing. The restaurant has an intimate feel, with attentive staff and amazing food. The food is a bit on the pricey side. 6 oysters, clam chowder, salad with crab, smash burger, beer, and iced tea came out to ~$150 for lunch for 2 people.
My cousin and I stopped for a late lunch and enjoy the view after meandering along the coast. I had the fresh halibut and she had the Mac and cheese with crab. We shared an ice cream cone. The food was yummy and the staff were attentive. We enjoyed walking down the dock to see the views and watch people catching crabs.
I had originally visited Nick’s Cove during the pandemic, a safe haven. Returning this time felt even better! We stayed in Red Legged Frog, upstairs, across from the restaurant. The update of the room was fresh, bright, clean and comfortable. The wood burning stove kept us warm and cozy. Loved sitting on the porch watching the sun set and activity at the restaurant.||We were attending a meeting at Stemple Creek Ranch so of course had to have The Fisherman’s Burger. This grass fed beef burger was delicious! Also enjoyed some local halibut. Highly recommend the local Straus Family Creamery soft serve. Love the local options.||Excellent, welcoming service on all levels!
A rainy evening with fireplace and view of weather on Tomales Bay. Delicious food and excellent service. Prices quite reasonable. Worth the drive from the east bay. We also saw the sealions at Chimmy Rock on the other side of Tomales. A day's adventure.
For my husband’s 50th birthday, we wanted someplace special, someplace away from the bustle of the Bay Area, and Nick’s Cove exceeded our expectations in every way. We stayed in Al’s, and from the moment we walked up to the gate to the moment we had to check out, our stay was outstanding. The folks who helped us were friendly and thoughtful, our food both nights at the restaurant was delicious with fantastic service, and being able to walk out on our little deck to see the comings and goings of the tide was delightful. We can’t recommend Nick’s Cove enough, and we can’t wait to go back!
