Great place! Those of us who have known this restaurant since it first opened are familiar with all these dishes from the very beginning. I ordered the Salmon Crunch, Sunomono salad , Salmon Sashimi , etc - same amazing flavor as always, even better! The atmosphere is super relaxed and beautifully designed, perfect for enjoying great food and good conversation. The service was very fast, and our waiter treated us wonderfully. Definitely one of my favorite spots in Brownsville!
Definitely liked the vibe ✨️ in the restaurant. The server was very attentive. The Mexico roll was delicious 😋. The fried cheese balls were great but didn't like the dip it came with. Will definitely come back.
There were only 3 waiters for the entire place. Considering most seating is for large parties that’s messed up for the owners to do that. Ordering, getting the food, anything really we asked for took a long time. Even something has simple has chopsticks. The food was so AVERAGE. From everything ordered my favorite were only the spicy edamame and the cucumber lemonade. Ah and the nuggets ordered for my niece lol
Went for lunch and was honestly pleasantly surprised. The fried rice might sound simple and not like the highlight of the menu, but make sure to add one to your order, the meat one was great. I’m a big fan of tuna tostadas wherever I go , and theirs is a 10/10. It comes on a wonton cracker that adds a really nice crisp, topped with tuna and a creamy, slightly spicy mayo-style sauce. No notes. Get it every time and share it. We also shared a few rolls, all were good. I particularly liked the salmon crispy rice one ( only photo I took). I recommend the tuna tostadas and fried rice for sure, plus at least one roll. Pro tip: ask for a free miso soup while you wait for your order.
It was a bad overall experience. The rock shrimp appetizer had great taste, but who wants to wait more than an hour to receive a cold appetizer! My mixed fried rice arrived late too. I wasn't the only one receiving late food, everyone did, some people had to go back to work and their food never arrived. Dont go if your time is counted. I will not be returning. I can get faster service and better tasting food at another sushi place.
