We came here to celebrate our anniversary, and it was a really pleasant experience. The staff were incredibly nice and gave great recommendations. They always made sure our glasses were full and checked on us often. The food was high quality, and we enjoyed every dish we ordered. The menu has a huge selection, and I’m sure everyone will find something they like. The food came out pretty quickly, and we even received a complimentary dessert for our anniversary at the end. It was a total surprise and showed how thoughtful and sweet the staff are. We will definitely be coming back. There is street meter parking nearby, so parking isn’t too hard to find, but be prepared to walk a few blocks

Awesome addition to the neighborhood!! The food quality was top notch. I can tell from the balance of flavors and perfect cook of the spicy edamame, and the freshness of the saba. The rolls and nigirin were delicious. Great vibes inside and lots of people for a quiet weekend in Gaslamp. Will definitely be back!!

Wow great sushi walking distance from the convention center . I was in town for a conference and was looking for a good sushi restaurant. I had the Chefs selection nigiri, and a custom Philadelphia roll, tapped with spicy mayonnaise and crunchy topping. The nigiri(8 pieces + 2 bonus pieces) came in a beautiful bowl presentation on top of crushed ice covered with leaves.(see pic). The roll came up several minutes after the nigiri, and I almost thought they forgot it was part of my order but it was well worth the wait. The chef used an extremely thin layer of rice Which to me makes the flavor much better. I don’t think I’ve ever had a better tasting roll and I’ve been eating sushi for over 40 years. Very high quality Sushi flavor. Yummm! I spent $77 but that includes a generous tip.

We had a wonderful Valentine’s Day dinner here recently. The server recommended sake was amazing, and the chef’s selection of nigiri and sashimi were delicious and fresh. We also had some assorted tempura and it was light and crispy. The place was totally packed but you can see the staff were all organized in the chaos and we felt like we didn’t wait too long for our orders. Pricing was about what you would expect for high quality sushi in SD, but totally worth it. Don’t hesitate to try one of their sake recommendations as well, it was worth it!

New sushi place in downtown San Diego. It’s used to be sushi before with different name, so not sure if it’s new ownership or new management. Stopped by weekday and was busy. We tried the cold tasting menu for two. Starters included Seaweed Salad, Scallop Dynamite, and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice — all fresh and flavorful. The Sashimi (Bluefin Toro, Hon Maguro, Salmon, Albacore) and Nigiri were top quality and perfectly sliced. The Yellowtail Carpaccio was light , and the Specialty Rolls (Lemon Eclipse, Serrano Sunset, Midnight Crunch, and Noir Inferno) were delicious. Great service, cozy ambiance, and some of the freshest fish in downtown San Diego! Will be coming back to try other items on the menu.
