Nori on Market st on Porters Neck

My husband and I finally tried Nori and had the best meal sitting at the bar. Megan and Liz our bartenders were great. My husband is the sushi eater and this is now his favorite! I got a curry, asked for mild spice and I could have drank the broth it was unbelievable.

We had the pleasure of attending the "Omakase by Nori" 10 course chefs event. Having been here for dinner numerous times we had already expected great service from the staff and excellent food. Tonight was an over the top sushi dining experience. We had the opportunity to try many different items that we had never experienced before like jelly fish and uni. Kudos to the chef and staff for a great experience.

I’ve been twice now. Once strictly for sushi and once to try hot entrees. Drinks, appetizers, and sushi are very good but the hot entrees (Pad Thai, Sesame Chicken, fried rice, etc) were very very bland/season-less and the chicken was dry and chewy. Service was ok and food took a while to come out. I like the long space before/between food coming out so I can relax (enjoy a nice glass of wine) and not feel rushed but I can see that some people could get very frustrated with how long it took. Atmosphere is great, building is new and clean and decor is very nice. I would return here for wine and sushi but not for any hot entrees.

Best Sushi in town. They have great kitchen dishes too! If you’re looking for a great date night spot or somewhere to bring the kids for a good meal Nori is the place to go! Not to mention their Bar drinks are phenomenal!

Did a pick up order today and am so disappointed. We ordered 1 California roll with extra ginger, a chicken poke bowl, and a spicy crab avocado roll. Sad that when we went to eat our spicy crab avocado roll there was no crab in it at all. Just rice, seaweed, avocado, and spicy mayo on it. When I arrived to pick up the order I asked the kind woman at the takeout counter if the extra ginger was in there, she said “yes it’s in a seperate container” there was not any extra ginger. For the amount of $$ you spend, to not get what you ordered, and to not get much food we most likely will not rerun.
