I would always recommend this restaurant to everyone.Because it was the best in Monmouth county.The Tinga tacos used to be amazing... unfortunately, I noticed a slight decline every time I visited lately. My husband's food has been lacking flavor and texture has not been the greatest. Unfortunately, I ordered last night and it was just not good at all. I don't know what's going on, do they have new kitchen staff? Did they lower the quality of ingredients? I'm actually not sure. Last night I ordered a chimichanga. I've never had one. And I was curious, so I ended up with a dry burrito. Nothing in it but the meat and a slab of cheddar cheese on top. One of many authentic Mexican restaurants in Red Bank , away from the limelight of Front and Broad Street where the prices you pay for your food is inflated just because of the location. Experience truly authentic Mexican food where the locals visit and ignore the imitations of their culture at Surf Taco. LOL This is the place to enjoy handmade thin flour tortillas and thin crispy chips and everything from Al Pastor to Lengua.

This is now la frontera. Not sure if same owner but it’s remodeled. This is hands down the best Mexican I’ve had in monouth county. Their sandwiches, tacos and enchiladas are unbelievable. My new favorite spot in red bank. Great quantity and pricing.

Superb value. Come here if you are hungry. High quality food comes served in very large portions. Definitely an authentic Mexican experience. I will definitely come back here. Staff is very friendly and attentive. Service is quick.

The food was absolutely delicious! I got Tacos al Pastor and my friends and I shared the Super Nachos con Bistec. The portions are huge and the taste is great. As the meat gets colder it does dry a bit though. Another criticism of mine would be that we did have to wait a while for the food to come, but considering the amount we ordered, that's understandable.
