Just bad all around. Pretty sure two staff members run the entire place. 10 minutes to be seated with only a few tables occupied. It would make sense if one of the two was cooking two based off quality and the wait. I presume it would be hard to pull things off at the right time while serving a beer in the other room, but maybe they do just have a bad cook. The halibut is surprisingly dry. So much so that even while eating slowly, I still had to drink water in between bites just so my mouth wouldn’t be as dry as the fish. The halibut tacos are $10 a piece. They ran out of tartar sauce as a “seafood house”. Lastly, the lime slices were absorbing the ink off the serving sheets they use and getting into the food.
Had a layover in ANC and was starving after our 8 hour flight. Everywhere was super busy except for this place so we decided to try it. Started the meal off with the calamari appetizer and had the wild Alaskan salmon mixed grill for the entree and it was delicious. The sauce that they put on the salmon was the best part. The portion size looks a little bit small but it filled us up surprisingly. The staff were great as well. Our waiter told us his favorite meal here and what he recommended. If you only read the bottom of this review get the wild Alaskan salmon plate. You won’t regret it!
I stopped in here during a layover between flights. The staff was very pleasant, quick, and efficient. The waitstaff was remarkable, made very good suggestions for food and drinks, and overall gave me a stellar experience. The bartender made an amazing drink-blood orange sunset is one you HAVE to try! It was the perfect combination of refreshing and helped calm my pre-dlight nerves. I order the halibut tacos and let me tell you they were the best I have had. As a long time Alaskan I have had the pleasure of trying many restaurant made halibut tacos and these were way above the rest. The taco shells were toasted -soft yet the slightest crunch. The add-ons were perfectly paired to give me a refreshing bite each time. And best of all, they did not skimp on the portion of halibut in each taco
Salmon burger was super dry. Salmon chowder as average. No wait and not crowded but it’s not a cruise ship arrival or departure day. Service was fast and efficient.
the staff was great. but the halibut and chips were like chewing gummy bears. I'm no Gordon Ramsey but I could tell something was wrong with the fish... the service was good and fast, but its almost 40 dollars for a tiny portion.
