I placed an order over the phone and mid order was handed to another employee where the information I had already provided was ignored and I had to restart. In addition, I ordered based off their menu online. When I get home the green plantain is not in the picada. I call them and ask and whoever answers the phone says it’s not and it’s either or based on what they have. Also no cassava? That’s not what the menu says and if it’s an option how about asking the client which they want?
I got large soup 2 corn bread and coffee costs me 20$. There prices always up and down I get same stuff most of the time. It’s never the same price. They put gratitude without you knowing. They are practically stealing money of from you. I have been going there once a week because the food tastes good. I gave them one star because today the soup had two small pieces of chicken and counted 7 small pieces of potatoes and 2 carrots and all soup. Literally little bit of stuff with half cup of liquid in it. And cold coffee. 2 corn bread for 20$. Otherwise I wouldn’t have rated them.
Just to clarify things, this review has no hateful or harmful intentions towards this place. That being said, I hope you take this as an informative review. 1. Atmosphere: It can be quite crowded at times, which makes it a bit hard to move around and even order because of the noise. On the other hand, it can be calm when it is not busy. 2. Service: Everyone is human, and all of us can have rough mornings or days as a whole. So, I can understand if the ladies are not in their good moods at certain times of the day. I can confirm that I have not felt disrespected at any time. They are great when they are in a good mood. 3. Food: The food is good, not great or horrible, it is good. If you are around and want to have a quick Latin American bite, this is a good place. Their chicken has the righ
Stopped here to get an evening snack or possibly dinner, options were a bit limited at the hot bar around 7:30pm hence I ended up ordering the pre-made empanadas. I tried all three; pollo, carne and queso. Cheese on wheat dough was the best, it had a generous amount of cheese and the wheat pastry was flaky enough that gave the empanadas a nice unexpected crunch. People that work here are generally polite and efficient.
This place has very special service. Patty and Paula are wonderful. Coming here for my coffee is like coming back to my home country. I always find a beautiful smile welcoming me. Thank you, ladies, for your kindness, excellent work, and the positive energy you constantly provide.
