Oakland County Parks and Recreation

I was happy to see the 2024 proposal pass for the Oakland County Parks! All of the parks, court yards, bike trails, facilities etc are clean, beautiful and well-maintained! I lived in South Lyon and Wixom Michigan and was close to all of the parks - All locations are convenient to travel to. Jill Zamojcin Oakland County Michigan

Just had to leave the park due to explicit hatful hood music blaring and a kid trying to assault my child with a stick. This is starting to become more frequent ruining the park. The park apparently encourages child neglect due to the amount of kids dumped into the park then ignored by their parents that are no where to be seen.

On September 25, Wint Nature Center hosted the monthly meeting of the Clarkston-area Backyard Birders Club. This was a special meeting requiring a room properly equipped and large enough to accommodate the anticipated sixty or more attendees. Raejean Heiser, of the resourceful Wint staff, welcomed our guests and she and her colleagues did a superb job ensuring an enjoyable evening for all. Many of our members had heard about Wint but had not yet visited this outstanding gem so conveniently located but yet so serene and natural it was as if being in Michigan's northlands. The Center itself has displays and programs appealing and educational for everyone--youngsters to oldsters.
