Ocean Café & Bar

I live here in town and always forget there is an eating establishment here. I like to support local and decided to try the Wednesday night Prime Rib special. The price can't be beat and my hostess/server was really sweet. The meal was filling, but not my favorite ever. The prime rib seemed to have been reheated and the potato had no butter or sour cream or anything to help moisten it. Luckily the Au Jus and horseradish was plentiful enough to help with that. The salad was surprisingly my favorite part. Nicely sized with a hint of microgreens made for a tasty treat. I got a pastry to go from the case for my breakfast the next day, but it was pretty hard and stale. Again, luckily there was cream cheese frosting on top that helped with moisture. I will try again another time.

We had breakfast at the Ocean Bakery today and it was really delicious! I ordered the chorizo wrap and my friends both ordered paninis. We shared an order of french fries and they were hands down the best I've ever had. The service was fast and the staff made us feel very welcome. Great service and food! We will definitely be back.

The staff and food was amazing! My coffee was super hot and the breakfast was top-notch. They were out of avocado, but gave me extra bacon to M compensate.

Bland!!! Do y’all not season your food???? Gosh, this morning I asked for a side of country gravy for my chicken fried steak because it was so bland/tasteless and the elderly lady gave me a freaking attitude. Once she gave me the gravy I thanked her and told her I appreciated it as she walked off and ignored me. Poor customer service for an establishment with tasteless food. Kind of wished I hadn’t tipped so much so it clearly wasn’t worth the service I was provided.

I’m not a coffee snob. But I know what espresso tastes like. I have had great espresso and mid espresso, even poor espresso, and still enjoyed it. This is the worst espresso I have ever had. I don’t believe it even came out of a legitimate espresso machine. It tastes like burnt nasty. It has no body. It’s like the worst combination of drip, Turkish, and FP. Frankly I’m offended AND CONCERNED that people think this is ok to drink AND TO SELL : (
