Ocean Odyssey Crab House & Seafood Restaurant

This place is a gem! Right on the road to Ocean City (technically the road out of OC) Great fresh seafood at decent prices. Better than several places I've gone in Baltimore. The cream of crab was thick and flavorful, fresh fried calamari and the fried catfish had good flavor and a very light crispy batter. They also serve steamed crabs by the dozen, ½ dozen and single crabs that, at least late in the season, were fantastically priced! Worth the drive!

We were a little nervous when we walked in because there were no cars in the parking lot. When we walked inside the restaurant was empty. We decided to try this place anyway. We weren’t disappointed! We started with drinks. The house specialty drinks we had, the Mojito and St. Germaine Spritz were both excellent. The crab soup was one of the best I have had . And then there were the crab cakes! OMG! They serve them two ways. Deep fried and baked. I had both and both were fantastic! I will be stopping here again later in the week before we leave town - just to enjoy another serving of the crab cakes and crab soup. My wife had the Maryland Catfish which also was delicious.

Fresh crab in a meaty sandwich. Bun so good I could eat it alone. Fries are crispy, but not oily. Tartar sauce is good too. Nice place to stop by on a road trip, just make sure you call with 30 minutes advance. Would recommend to a friend, you might have to sell your arm though.

First time patron. Since we were the only customers we were seated promptly by our hostess and server Bailie. Bailie was friendy and explained various options to our order. We decided to order the fried oysters appetizer and the softcrab sandwich. Unfortunately I can't comment on the fried oysters because they never brought them out. The softcrabs were really good, fried to perfection. They come with your choice of toppings, lettuce, tomatoes etc. You choose a side to accompany the entree which is either, cole slaw, side sald or fries. We both chose the cole slaw. The cole slaw was almost inedible, best way to describe it would be bland and tasteless. It tasted like it was old and cole slaw should be made fresh everyday. Great place for seafood right in Cambridge MD. We were a larger group and they were able to accommodate us for dinner time. The tables were split and we had different servers so my review is based on our experience which was positive. We sat in the back picking room. Service: our server, a young man was super sweet and attentive. He took our orders and kept us updated as things were coming out. The other table had a server who seemed annoyed the whole time and was hardly around or checked in on them - I guess depends on the server you get on how your experience will be.
