Old Fields Restaurant Port Jefferson

Went in tonite for a great steak dinner and was disappointed beyond imagination, A porterhouse steak that was the size of a Big Mac with no taste . I've been here plenty of time before, however this is a new low for them. With other steak places like Culper's 1778, Vintage and even Danford's I can't recommend this as a choice ( I don't have enormous hand and it only took 4 finger to cover the whole steak)

This place is outstanding. The food is consistently excellent, and the service is just as impressive. I had the bone-in porterhouse with mashed potatoes and creamed spinach — everything was perfectly prepared and absolutely delicious. Our waiter was exceptional — attentive, professional, and on point the entire evening. The atmosphere is always warm and inviting, and the quality never disappoints. Highly recommend.

Just want to start by saying had an amazing anniversary dinner here with my wife. The service is over the top and everyone on the staff is kind and friendly. I brought my nine-year-old son with me my seven-year-old son and my 10 month old son and everyone was so kind and accommodating and interactive with my kids amazing atmosphere. The staff is great huge shout out to Nick and our waitress.

This place is truly me and my husbands old reliable. We've been coming here consistently (too often admittedly) for probably 2 1/2 years at this point and it has never missed. The wait staff is incredible: Anthony, Kathy, and Fab will make you feel like you are family and they've known you for years (and they have become like family to us!) and more recently Christian and Kara who are amazing as well! The skirt steak is always a 10/10, the filet is my husbands go to. Cant go wrong with zucchini chips and pro tip get the potato wedges truffle parm style and end your meal with the bread pudding. We can't sing our praises enough to all of our people here and the quality of the food. Please save your time and money and go elsewhere. We waited nearly 50 min for appetizers and then another 25-30 min for our entrees, and let me tell you, it was atrocious. My mom ordered medium well and got medium. The steak was the worst I’ve ever had in my entire life. I probably could’ve had a better steak meal at Outback at a fraction of the price. The French onion and clam chowder soups were also rather salty. The calamari tasted worse than what you’d get from a pizzeria joint. Avoid this place at all costs!
