Can someone please give them the recipe for scones from Woolies or Coles? Cause what they’re serving are not Aussie scones. Overall average pub food, Sunday lamb roast was good but gravy was a bit too watery for me and my yorkie was like warm at best. Highlight was definitely the Kylie Minogue cocktail aka “Spinning Around” - love me a passionfruit cocktail any day of the week!
A review from an Australian: Firstly, it’s Parmi, not Parma. Secondly, wedges are great, but need more sweet chili. We ordered the steak and chips and a classic chicken parmi. The steak was perfectly cooked and had good flavour, and the parmi was also cooked well, and tasted incredible. Unfortunately, the pepper sauce was a little sweet and far to thin for our taste, but wasn’t too bad all things considered. Service and vibes good. Cricket replay was on which was a bonus.
So I have been hearing about this spot since it started trending on tiktok and randomly stumbled upon it walking around near Seaport on a Sunday evening. The downstairs was lively and despite the tables being full the hostess was eager to find us a table upstairs so our group of 4 could be accommodated immediately. We were also greeted by an Australian host while we waited and he was quite friendly. We all enjoyed the old mates lager which was classic and crisp, and each dish we ordered was uniquely flavored and freshly made including the burger, fish and chips, bangers and mash, and grilled barramundi. The chippies aka fries also deserve a shoutout for their fun chicken salt seasoning. All of us were really happy with our orders and eager to visit again. While I can’t speak to the authent
Awesome Aussie Pub in NYC. The photos on the walls around the pub are something for Aussie’s to be proud of. Also good to be able to watch the Cricket and Football when it’s on and you’re away from Oz.
Iconic pub, hadn’t been home to Australia in over a year and felt like I was walking back into my hometown. Parmi and calamari was exceptional.
