Old Shawnee Pizza & Italian Kitchen

First time having it after hearing good things.We ordered a few salads, garlic knots, and two pizzas. Pizza was better than I anticipated. Interesting cracker style crust. Ingredients were high quality and you get plenty of toppings -no skimping here. Decent beer selection, too. We'll be back.

I stopped here for lunch with a coworker in between jobs. They had a deal to buy a drink and get a 1-topping medium Pizza for free. I don't drink while I'm working so I was going to get their usual lunch deal, which is also great, when I noticed they had many non-alcoholic options. I decided to try one as this would also work with the medium Pizza deal! I was presently surprised! The drink had all the creativity and flavor of a cocktail! This was our first time dining at Old Shawnee Pizza. We decided to stop in because we heard Travis Marvin would be playing. We were pleasantly surprised with the intimate space and fun atmosphere, but seriously, order the pizza! The menu has a lot of delicious food, but man, this pizza is delicious. The cracker crust is the perfect thickness, and you can choose from an expansive list of toppings ( including multiple sauce selections). Travis did not disappoint either! He played a few acoustic sets of familiar songs as well as some of his personal work (amazing). This type of smaller venue is more personal and enjoyable. My girlfriend and I bought some items from Price Chopper 2 weeks ago, and on the back of the receipt was printed a coupon, for a $17.00 Large Pizza from Old Shawnee Pizza. She called Old Shawnee Pizza a couple of evenings ago and placed her order with a person, who told her to bring the coupon with her and they would discount the order at the restaurant. When she went to pick up her pizza and the young person cashing her order out told her that the total would be approximately $23.00 (I don't remember the exact amount she told me). I have lived in Kansas City since 1977 and today was my first time @oldshawneepizza. I have been missing out. It was very good pizza and loved the different selections they offer. My wife had the crab Rangoon pizza and I had the Smoke house pizza. Both were full of flavor and cooked just right. The sales were good but when you add the garlic ranch house dressing, it takes it up to a different level. Ben was our waiter and he did a great job taking care of us.
