Old Trout Inn

Private, romantic cottage. Very welcoming, warm, and calming environment. We slept amazing in the luxury Pendleton bedding and the black out curtains were an added bonus(I am a very light sleeper). There was a sofa bed available that we didn't use, but looked comfortable.|7 minutes to the ferry landing and 7 minutes to Eastsound. Surrounded by lush farm land, a pond, and trails nearby. It was surreal! We will stay here again in a heart beat! And the host, Laura, was very down to earth and hospitable.

Heaven on earth is a real place, and it is run by Henri and Nicole on Orcas Island! We turned a business trip out to Orcas Island into a spur-of-the moment romantic getaway and booked at the Old Trout Inn because it was on the map near where we had to go. We couldn't have been more delighted. The place was a treat from the moment we drove up. Nicole's cooking and Henri's gracious service reflect their French background. Luxury everywhere - we felt so spoiled! Definitely order the dinner meal - it is worth the splurge. And the breakfast! We will be back - again and again and again.

We truly enjoyed our stay and conversations with Henri, one of the owners, here in September. We were traveling with our adult daughter so stayed in the basement suite with private bedroom and second bed in an expansive living room and kitchenette. The views from the deck out on to the pond were exquisite. We loved the delicious French breakfasts and could not get enough of their wonderful coffee. Great location. Easy, ample parking. Beautiful gardens. Adorable goats and even horses. Bald eagles also frequent the area. The decor is dated but extremely clean and comfortable. This is the only reason I gave it 4 stars. This type of thing doesn't matter to us, but it may to some others. We would eagerly stay here again and highly recommend this. Hot tub on patio was awesome after

Nicole and Henri were great hosts! My girlfriend and I stayed in the cattails room. It had everything we needed. Although we had a private bathroom, it was across the hallway. Their property is paradise. I enjoyed breakfast with the other guests even though I’m an introvert.

We stayed at the Old Trout for 3 nights on our honeymoon, and upon checking in received a free upgrade to the cottage. The cottage was well appointed with a comfortable bed, private deck and hot tub, sitting area, kitchenette, and bathroom. It was a nice bonus to have the extra privacy of a standalone building, rather than the room in the main house which we had originally booked. ||||The property is beautiful, with lush gardens and a path to walk around the pond, and lots of cute decorations and benches to sit and enjoy the view along the way. It is a relaxing setting with lots of wildlife including birds, frogs, bunnies, and more I am sure.||||Breakfasts were great, and held on the deck overlooking the pond. Nicole is a french chef, which means breakfast included smoked salmon wrapped in
