Olde Sassafras Farm LLC

Great experience. Great House , Great Host, and amazing breakfast. The house has beautiful sassafras old barn wood moldings, great comfy beds and a warm country feel. The breakfast was other world - frittata day one, Banana foster crepe day two and then - Dutch crepe topped with eggs Benedict (picture below). You will feel warmed and love during your stay. Enjoy

The people are lovely, the home is delightful! Peacefully, cozy, beautiful property! My room had private bath with no step shower. There's another full bathroom in hall, A very large bedroom and two smaller rooms. There is an exquisite dining room, old oak flooring but we had breakfast on the wonderfully, enclosed front porch with peaceful view of pond and Pennsylvania hills, farms and countryside! Ok could have spent a nice quiet day, lounging , reading out under tree, caught bass in pond, but had family reunion to go to. Breakfast both mornings was delicious! Beds were comfortable, wasn't a thing we needed that wasn't there! Reasonable price, good people!

Rochelle was such a welcoming Host. The Farm is a delight and lots of places to sit and relax and enjoy the pond. Our room was upstairs with two single beds (which had very comfortable mattresses and excellent sheets). They also have a washer/dryer that I needed desperately after 7 days on the road. Tonight we will have a bonfire by pond. Such a quiet and serene place. The only thing you hear at night are cows mooing. So fun.

Arrived later, about 9 pm. Macey the barn cat waited for us, and walked down the middle of the driveway, pausing every once in a while to look over her shoulder, to make sure we got to the house. Photo is of French Toast nut bread for breakfast. Beautiful presentation, and tasty too.

I grew up spending many summer days on this family farm. I had the opportunity to return recently and I am grateful that Rochelle and her family have spent the time, money, and effort in bringing life back into this home. The place is as I remember from my childhood but even better with modern amenities. Thank you Rochelle! It is beautiful!
