after my sister’s graduation, we decided to go to Olle, making same day reservations for 8 people. A staff texted us to confirm and was accommodating when we said one more person was coming (and if we needed a high chair for the child). The servers were very friendly and spoke korean, checked up on our tables if we needed anything and if we needed refills for the banchan (there was some tteokbokki too). The hot soups/stews were comforting and delicious. The bibimbap was so pretty (my sister finished that and cleaned the bowl lol). And the cold noodles were great too! it wasn’t too loud so we didn’t have to yell at each other. It was my third time here but for everyone else it was their first and their experience here left a good impression!
We stopped into Olle for lunch on a weekend. All of the food we ordered was extremely tasty and I could tell they put a lot of thought into the food. I want to give this place 5 stars but for the price we paid I feel like they were just shy of that rating. I would give them around a 4.5. The eel, while expensive, was really tasty when combined with the seaweed they provided. The mini galbi and cold noodle combo was probably the best deal of the two. The stewed galbi packed some flavor and was very tender, but I felt did not particularly wow me. Looking back I wish it was prepared grilled or some other way besides stewed. The cold pork feet salad was tasty but also not particularly memorable. The banchan were quite tasty and probably one of the highlights of the meal. In particular the fr
This is one of the nicest Korean restaurants. I’ve been to very clean. Nice staff. Good food. I. t’s not a KBBQ place with the grill in the middle of the table. They specialize more in the soup and broth dishes. NYC prices will bring your credit cards. Portions are a little small. Give this place a try for in the area. We will definitely be going back.
Really good restaurant serving very tasty dishes. Had the beef rib followed by cooked (at your table) rice. All the condiments were good tasting. Will come back to try other dishes.
I am so happy to be updating this review. After our terrible reservation mix-up last time, the restaurant reached out and invited us back. I decided to give them a second chance, and I am SO glad I did. The Olle team completely exceeded our expectations with both the food and the service. To make up for the previous experience, they were incredibly generous and hooked us up with complimentary Sooyook (boiled pork) and soda. Now, the food... wow. We ordered the Galbi Jjim and Honguh Jjim. The Galbi Jjim was, no joke, the best I have ever had in NYC. It was unbelievably tender and literally melted in your mouth. And pairing the Galbi Jjim with the Hooshik Bibim is a game-changer. The combination of flavors and textures was so unique and delicious. The Bokkeumbab (fried rice) at the end was a
