Omakase OSUKAA LIC

We had the $90 omakase for 15 pieces. It’s outstanding value and quality for the price. It may have been one of my most favorite omakase experiences compared to recent ones around the city - and this is coming from someone who goes back to Japan every year. Every piece was fresh, delicious, and buttery soft. They had some unique flavor combinations that I had never seen at other places. The place was immaculately clean. Highly highly recommend this hidden gem in LIC.

Tried this place as me and my partner were looking for an Omakase menu specifically and we were both impressed. The food is fresh, well prepared and if you sit at the bar/counter - you can watch the chef prepare each dish right in front of you which we enjoyed. Great for a smaller more intimate date night. The only thing that took away from the dining experience was that the restaurant was in, what seemed like a newer building and as a result, it felt like a bit of a ghost town and the bathrooms were unfinished and across the hall from the restaurant. Aside from that, great food, VERY fresh fish and a good overall experience.

Appetizer was just okay. Sushi was below average. I expected it to be better with its high rating. The sushi rice was sticky and soft, and didn’t have any taste of the vinegar. There was a few flies flying around the whole time and at the end landed on the serving plate after finishing the last piece of sushi :’( Told the server about it but they didn’t do anything. I would not recommend this place and hope that they could improve.

Clean and comfortable place overall. The environment felt neat and well kept. For the price, it’s okay ~The food tastes okay. Service was really good. The staff were friendly and welcoming, always smiling, which made the experience pleasant.

Definitely coming back here again! Love the hospitality, the quality of the every piece presented to you is a piece of art. The vibe is very welcoming and relax, perfect place to unwind. Highly recommended!!!
