OneTaco Taquería @ Anderson Lane

This place is legit. Their Al Pastor tacos are top notch! They use a gyro style rotating skewer oven to cook and crisp their pork after it is marinated. Then they slice off just the perfectly crisp outside of the skewer and make tacos with it. I usually don’t go for pineapple on al pastor, but the pineapple is also on the top of the skewer getting slowly caramelized and it is a game changer. Tortillas are classic corn and the rice and beans are amazing. On Tuesdays they do $2.75 al pastor tacos and they simply cannot be beat. Quesa birria quesadilla is served with consume and js the real deal too. The street tacos are great here. What stood out was the freshness. They make each corn tortilla to order it looked like. The thing I did not care for were the black beans and especially the rice. The rice had an odd after taste and texture like it was instant box or microwaveable rice. It did not taste like good Mexican rice. The beans were okay, but they had little taste so it seemed bland.

I am here all the time this is the best location. Amazing street tacos, fast and addictive. I love the pricing and will always recommend this as my favorite place in Austin for authentic Mexican tacos 🌮

Didn’t realize there was a location tucked in this plaza! Love One Taco and the staff here are great. I like ordering the street tacos.

Just had the BEST birria quesadilla of my life at the One Taco on West Anderson! My taste buds were in heaven dipping the quesadilla in the dipping sauce. The Barbacoa was so juicy and succulent. And the taco Al pastor Gringa style… was chef’s kiss!
