Ono Hawaiian BBQ

Tried Ono Hawaiian tonight as a to-go order at this new location. I’ve been wanting to try this spot so I don’t have to drive all the way to La Habra. The interior was clean, there was plenty of parking, and I really liked that this location also offers a drive-thru. In my opinion, the macaroni salad had a bit too much mayo, and there were no utensils included with the to-go order. That said, I appreciated that this location packed the katsu and teriyaki sauce with the order — something the La Habra location doesn’t always do. I ordered the seafood plate and the fire chicken, and both were decent. Will be back, thanks!

Recently, I placed an order at this location. It wasn't busy, and I was told my order would be ready shortly, after 10 minutes. I inquired about my order. Got the standard answer. It will be up shortly. After an additional 8 minutes , I asked again, and they supposedly lost my ticket. No manager came to ask what was wrong. Not well run in comparison to other locations. I was really hoping this would be a good location because that's so close to our house. I don't think I'll be going here. There are other Hawaiian options within 2 miles that are as good, if not better. After my whole experience, my food was still not hot. SMH. 2/10 ... on a positive note, my dog really enjoyed the rice!

Salad is good, good fresh crunchy Island chicken is not too spicy, very tender and flavorful, little worried it was undercooked The Mac salad is bad, not enough flavor, overly mayo, small portion! Bbq beef good very tender and flavorful Rice is good, it’s hot

Overall good food, love the drive thru but couldn't really understand the girl speaking in it... Aside from that the protein portions were on the smaller side

Best chicken I've ever had, it complemented the rice really well, shrimp was fantastic, and the macaroni salad is out of this world, this place is going to drive the nearby Pollo Campero out of business!
