Orange Hawaiian BBQ

The food looked great on the photos so I was excited to try this spot. The lava chicken was marked as spicy but honestly I would saw it’s closer to mild than anything else. There was barely any spiciness at all. The lava chicken was at least juicy and overall taste was good to eat. I wish I could say the same about the rest of the plate. The chicken katsu was so dang dry it was difficult to chew. It felt like chewing on grade school cafeteria chicken. My mouth got a workout. The Mac salad was different that there were little orange chunks of possible carrot or some other vegetable, but the Mac salad was super bland. As a big lover of Mac salad, I regret ordering this Mac salad and two orders of it at that. It was awful. The spam musubi was in fact actually good. Not sure I’d come back cons

The taste is above average but not the best. The portion sizes are adequate, and I highly recommend the half and half option for first-time visitors. I tried the Kalua pork and spicy BBQ chicken, both of which were great. The owner was kind enough to leave a good impression.

I went in to try the chicken potstickers. Although the potstickers were good, they were smaller than I imagined. Also, the sweet sauce that comes with the potstickers was not tasty and I definitely expected it to be better. I would highly recommend they offer some more options for people who eat chicken as their only source of meat/protein as it was somewhat difficult to find options that I could enjoy.
