Love this place!! Run by a lovely couple, this family restaurant has never disappointed. We have come here a number of times, and everyone from my 90 year old grandma and my little cousin have all loved their meals. Everything tastes fresh and quality. There are several traditional Haitian recipes (the Snapper special was particularly ~special~) and Classic American brunch options , but most of the menu is somewhere in between (eg. salmon burger on coco bread, jerk chicken and Belgian waffles). Yum! The husband is the chef and the wife, Ore, is both the namesake and the host/server and is absolutely delightful. Generous portions at a reasonable price and bottomless coffee are a bonus :)
What an unexpected gem we found during our kid’s hockey tournament! We stopped by for breakfast and...wow....I was blown away. Hands down one of the best and most unique diner breakfasts I’ve ever had (definitely not your typical eggs-and-potatoes situation). They serve homemade coco bread, sweet plantains, shrimp, grits, and other amazing touches that make every dish feel special. We loved it so much that we went back the very next morning to try more. Too bad we were only in town for two nights! Highly, highly recommended if you’re anywhere near the area.
Ore A Love Story is a gem of a place and you are missing out not to experience it. The breakfast dishes are delicious and like nothing I've had before. I'll definitely be returning so I can make sure to try everything!
Loved the shrimp and grits, super cheesy, the fried egg was perfect and the bacon brought the plate together. The Portuguese French toast was perfect. Jerk wings were not jerk to me or my friend, tastes really good but not spicy at all. I did not enjoy my drink at all, it tasted like watered down juice (Welch passion fruit juice). The servers were really nice, met the owner who happened to be our server and she was friendly and super accommodating.
Low key and casual but tasty food, beautiful presentation, and great service. I got the French toast on Portuguese sweet bread and it was delicious- topped with fresh fruit. My family loved it, including my children and parents. The waitress was lovely. The service timing was appropriate for most of our food (my daughter's lobster omelet took a while but she had other things to eat during the wait). Culture fusion of Black American and Caribbean cuisine. Nice gem for Stoughton.
