If you need help as a disabled person, don't expect to find it in Oregon. Oregon is a death trap (literally) for disabled people (esp those isolated or without skilled advocates). However, even disabled with family or friends that try to advocate, you most likely will only find yourself shoveled into labyrinthian circles with no relief or avenue for recourse or redress. The governor's or Attorney General's office is no place for human beings to expect equal representation let alone help. The abuse and neglect from this state and its agents murders us in plain sight, but so slowly that most people never catch on and quite often take the abusers side (bc we cry and beg and plead for help, making a nuisance of ourselves). This happens bc of the ignorance of our populace, so the government
DHS is a joke that keeps kids in custody for the state payment. no kids no money. all the while sending workers to other states for a day just for a walk in a house when It was completed by 2 other agency's on separate accounts. they ruin kids.
Can't bother picking up the phone for my 85 year old grandma. She's been on hold for a half hour now trying to get a case worker because she has blood cancer and cant get a primary care. I find it disgusting that she teaches for decades, retires and this is how you treat her. Your gross negligence and inefficiency is borderline criminal.
If you want an agency that will fail your family this is the one along with the worker Rosalinda Meza from over payment. The fact they family coaches failed to document important information all while a whole other agency was in full whereabouts of what I was doing and knew I had notified dhs agency about updates. Even if they didn’t document at that point your defense is your word against the dhs agency and the over payment courts and the over payment court does not care. By all means this agency fails to do their job appropriately and if and when they fail at that they will hold your responsible no matter what. Do better. And a reform need to be done
I was on hold for 6 and a half hours. that time ran until they were closed and I wasn't able to get any assistance. not to mention the reason my EBT card didn't refill was because of a mistake on their part. they put a note saying my approval was pushed through but they didn't actually push it through. I just want to some food and I shouldn't be jerked around like this by them saying it's approved when it really isn't.
