Really beautiful area. There are two ways to get to this beach, you can park on the street and walk down a path and then through a little wooded path to the beach. You can also follow a trail through Oyhut, the Steve Brundstad Memorial Trail (if I’m remembering correctly) to get to the same open grassy road to follow the little wooded trail to the beach. It’s very easy to find. Please pack out what you pack in and leash up during the dates they ask or always if your dog doesn’t recall. It’s safer for everyone. Always check tides too! I think you can park in Oyhut to walk the trail. Doggy poop bags and a trash can at the start of the trail. Very beautiful view of Westport across the water on a clear day.
It was like a secret path leading to the bay, although not really secret. A fun little hike with some mysteries along the way, like that weird building. Turns out it houses navigational equipment for planes, called an ROV. We were lucky enough to bump into a delightful couple who knew the answers to most of our questions.
This was our first visit and we will definitely be back it's the perfect get away you couldn't ask for a better place. They have everything you need or want. We had a family get together and rented 2 home and it was perfect walk to the beach restaurant store gift shop all right there. The wild life was all over dear just rooming . Just a short drive into town 15mins if that. Thank you for a wonderful experience.
This has become my favorite beach at Ocean Shores! It is a more protected bay, so it doesn't really have the bigger breakers, but it's always less busy and a great place to enjoy the beach.
This is a great place to visit where there's very few people if any and has a great location. If you're staying at the Oyhut vacation rentals, there is a trail from their main area out to the beach. Its very quiet and worth it, but honestly and obviously there are more easily accessible beaches/parks nearby.
