Oyster Bay Restaurant & Bar

An absolute gem of a restaurant with exceptional drinks and food. The service was terrific. They didn't rush us and we were able to ask questions. Ambiance got loud once more people arrived in the dining room, but luckily we were on our way out. Delectable banana foster cheesecake. Save room for dessert!!!

We hosted our rehearsal dinner at Oyster Bay in Cape May during the first week of November, and it was truly exceptional. Michelle was incredibly helpful and knowledgeable throughout the entire planning process. She went above and beyond to accommodate us—including allowing our setup the evening before—which took so much stress off our plate. The chef even gave us a glass of champagne to celebrate while we were setting up that evening! The food was absolutely delicious, and our guests are still raving about it. They were even able to accommodate one of our vegetarian guests on the fly. The chef came out to speak with her and created something special for her! Pretty, well kept establishment but can be renovated. Waitress was attentive but wasn’t happy with the tip because her words to my husband were “Just so you know, gratuity was NOT already in the bill”, and stormed off. Other than that, food was just okay. The best thing in my opinion were the boardwalk fries. Perfectly seasoned, the right amount of thickness and crisp. I ordered the duck and for a $40 dish, I don’t want to see canned oranges on my plate. The flavors were nice on the duck and it was cooked tender. However, sides were flavorless and just seemed to be steamed and barely buttered. Cocktail was delicious, but you can tell the garnish jalapeños were cut 2-3 days ago. To finish, I don’t think I’d come back.

We made reservations to come here for our wedding anniversary and my husband ordered the salmon and I ordered the lamb with mashed potatoes and veggies which all was delicious and the lamb perfectly cooked ; however the salmon was over cooked so my husband sent it back and ordered the chicken which he found to be blend. Service was great and very helpful and friendly. The venue is very nice.

Came across this quaint and adorable restaurant as we walked through CM. We had 6 guests with us on a Saturday night and popped in during prime time without reservations. Not only were we seated right away, but the food was incredible and service was great! The crab soup was spicy and so good on a chilly night. The shrimp cocktail and crab & fried tomato appetizer were also incredible. Next time I will come even hungrier, but everything was great. We will be back!!
