What a lovely little inn! We had the cottage for four nights and loved it. It was so spacious and comfortable. The bed was divine and the fireplace worked great. Having breakfast delivered every morning was amazing! Such a nice touch and a great start to the day. Also, the wine and cheese house at the Blue Door is a must do for guests. We enjoyed popping in there for the daily cookies too! The staff was kind and welcoming. Everything was perfect and we loved our time in Mendocino so much.

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying this past weekend at the charming Packard House. It’s not inexpensive, but for an indulgent weekend, I highly recommend it. We had previously stayed at the Blue Door Inn, so I figured that if the Packard House is a related property, we’d be in good hands. Without a doubt, we were.||||We arrived a bit after 6 pm, which meant we needed to arrange for an after-hours check-in. The process was simple by following the steps emailed and texted to us from the Inn. We arranged for the King Guest Room, which is not part of the main house but located just in the back. The room itself was immaculate with a very comfortable king-sized bed and a fireplace, which we used throughout our stay. We also took advantage of the comfortable couch for our evening reading.

This place is so quaint, cute, and unique! My mom and I stayed for my birthday and it was such a good time. I do have to say, $500 a night during peak season is a bit pricey for the quality. We paid off peak season rates and I feel like that was just right. They made every food and allergy accommodation I had with complete care. They were extremely kind and generous to my mom even though she was a bit overbearing in her requests haha! Aside from the excellent service, the details of the hotel need a bit more care and attention. The furniture was a bit dirty and worn. It was nice to have nice and updated games downstairs to play. But, some of the furniture needs some cleaning and updating. They were so very kind to leave a nice note and some Mendocino Chocolates for my birthday as well! Ove

Everything was good.........bed had an old mattress with metal edges. |The breakfast made me very uncomfortable the rest of the day....We didn't eat the breakfast they offered the next day.

Such a dreamy, lovely place to stay! Everything about this experience was flawless, from the friendly assistance booking our reservation to the kind follow up upon checkout. The breakfasts were delicious, the Garden Cottage was spacious and so comfy (and quiet!), and the location was perfect. We were especially appreciative of the efforts made to accommodate our 8-month-old, even though this property is usually aimed at adults. Already can’t wait to return!
