Customer Reviews
Fantastic food. I had the basil fried rice and basil crispy chicken, my wife had drunken noodles. The restaurant itself smelt a little like cigarettes but the food was amazing
The food is quite extraordinary. Everything from the tamarind lemongrass soup, to the catfish, pompano, and tofu, was wonderful. The only drawback was the atmosphere, a bit pedestrian, and the music was pedestrian. Well worth the visit. We'll be back!
This small casual restaurant serves up authentic Laotian plates from the pork sausage to the beef jerky and the papaya salad. Most of the food here can be pretty spicy. The dessert with coconut soup and taro root and chewy flour balls were pretty delicious.
An incredible first experience with Laotian cuisine. The flavor profile is comparable to Thai but has its own distinct blend of savory flavors. The Chicken Awk is marked as a mild but it's authentic preparation manifests with more spice. If you have a lower spice tolerance, consider asking for less spice. Other than the spice, the chicken was absolutely tender with a wonderful blend of vegetables and spices. My partner enjoyed the Pork Kua Mee and commented on the distinct flavor profile and the tastiness of the overall dish. The service was consistent and excellent throughout the meal. For the quality of this meal, I was surprised how affordable the prices were. There is plenty of parking in the free parking lot. The restaurant is wheelchair accessible.
This place has been on our “to try” list for a while, we finally got to it and sadly left disappointed. Everything was either bland or super salty. The tofu used for the appetizer should have been soft tofu but instead was hard. The tom yum soup was not sour or sweet but instead had a lot of white pepper. The noodles in the noodle were over cooked aka very soggy and clumpy.
