Palenque Grill Brownsville

We had the pleasure of dining here this past weekend for the first time, and we were impressed. The food was delicious, the atmosphere was inviting and the place was impeccable. However, the true highlight of our evening was the service! Zuleyma was excellent! She was friendly, frequently visited our table and provided helpful suggestions. I would definitely recommend this restaurant for a date night or to celebrate an important event. Make sure to ask for Zuleyma!

Had dinner with my parents and we enjoyed our experience! We were greeted by a friendly hostess and even friendlier waiter. My parents each ordered the tacos de carne asada, which came individually wrapped with a cup of charro beans on the side. I ordered a cup of the poblano soup and it was delicious! Chill ambiance, excellent for gatherings, and full bar. 👍😎✨️🍽

I walked in and immediately felt like I was about to have a great meal service was sharp, professional, and genuinely welcoming from the start. They kicked off the experience with fresh chips and frijoles fritos that had this smooth, rich flavor with what tasted like a touch of chorizo. Not your average “bean dip” this was comfort food with personality. And then the salsa lineup? I have traveled all domestic (49 states) and International (type of work I do). Been waiting for this place to open for months (was scheduled for 10/15). My reviews are fair/honest and not comparing to places I've been. Service began at entrance with the host, seated within 1 min (arrived at 12:30 pm). was attended by server like he was just waiting for us (was VERY quick). Observing the other servers at there tables, the bar etc I can see they where very attentive to there tables, friendly, good welcoming vibe. Atmosphere: From Carrabba's Italian Grill to Palenque Grill what a Major Make-over, was very impressed of the inside. Excellent service from our waitress Karina! I ordered the taco gobernador which was delicious. Very busy restaurant, capable of seating large parties. Make sure to make a reservation if you don't want to wait. (especially on weekends). Parking is also hard to find. Overall a very popular restaurant and a nice place to for a celebration. Definitely worth trying at least once :)
