Palmetto Pig Bar-B-Q Restaurant

Have not been here since I moved away, but while in town for work, brought some colleagues in for dinner and everyone enjoyed their meal. It was later in the evening but the food was still hot and fresh and the staff friendly.

We stopped into the Palmetto Pig on our day in Columbia. The restaurant is right down town. It is a buffet. All the food we ate was delicious. There was fried chicken and pulled pork for the meats. They had green beans, Mac n cheese, potato salad, Cole slaw, and baked beans. The hush puppies were amazing.

First time here and I will definitely be back. All the food I tried on the buffet was delicious. I didn't try the fried chicken because I was too full! Buffet is a little more limited than some other places but it had enough variety to please almost anyone. I loved the hush puppies with a touch of sweetness. I also appreciated they had fried pork skins.

This a great buffet if you want some good southern food. It’s a small buffet with a couple of choices like fried chicken, pulled pork, Mac and Chesse, coleslaw and banana pudding. The price is good it was $16 per person included a drink. The fried chicken was my favorite all the sides were incredible. But for me the Mac and Chesse was my top pick for that sides. The dinning area was clean. I will be coming back when I’m craving some good southern food.

Just like it was when I was back in school! The buffet was great, and my wife LOVED the fried chicken and the banana pudding! It’s a must-hit place in Columbia for South Carolina BBQ!
