The long-awaited reopening of Lino’s bakery. Excellent. Expect bold Dominican flavors like guava and cream cheese, cafecito, and plantains. The puff pastry tasted like each layer was individually deep fried before being assembled—greasy, yes, but so cleanly separated and browned and crispy. The sourdough croissant married the crunchy shell you want in a croissant with the fluffy chewy crumb you want in a sourdough. You can see it bursting out from its outer layers (I don’t think that’s scored). Everything’s vegetarian. What I love the most about this spot is the little twists and surprises on classics, just enough to make you go “hmm, what is that?” Guava and cheese is as classic as PB&J, something mundane and expected, but Lino added rosemary to transform it into something both new and f
My mind was so blown away. I grew up in Miami eating Cuban pastelitos but Lino add rosemary and that heightened the flavors. I also had the pastry with arroz con leche, I didn’t even conceive you can add a childhood favorite into a pastry. Wow. Love the music, environment, & friendliness of the staff!
A sweet little neighborhood gem! I got a variety of pastries to take home for my family to try and everything was delicious. I particularly appreciate that many of the pastries are sourdough because they're easier for me to digest. All three items to the left of my photo are sourdough and they were airy, light, chewy and delicious! We loved the chocolate cookies with marshmallow, pretzel, and salt. We also really loved the walnut cardamom cookies and the rosemary cookies. They're like shortbread and savory but sweet and it's a perfect balance. I also had a hot chocolate and the chocolate syrup is housemade and not overly sweet; fantastic! I also really appreciate their focus on community, local items, and environmentally friendly packaging. I can't wait to stop back in!
Everything Melanie makes is so delicious and stunning! I’m always incredibly impressed by the creativity of flavor combinations and the way each bite makes me feel so at home. Melanie is an exquisite baker who also makes you feel like she’s baked just for you. Every single item is made with the utmost love and care and heart. I am a forever customer!!
Amazing coffee and great food! A little bit on the pricey side but it’s so good I don’t mind. I wish there was more seating inside. Definitely go!!
