Pancheros Mexican Grill - Ames

Decided to try the Ames Pancheros for the first time as a late night snack and safe to say I was disappointed. I put an online order in, it wasn’t ready at the time (but that isn’t much of an issue since they were short staffed). The person at the register was nice. My main issue is with the portion size. I got a burrito bowl for my little snack. I received the bowl and was astounded. It was 1/4, maybe 1/3, full. I could very well see the bottom of the dish. Alongside the astounding portion size, it was missing my queso (which I paid $2 for???). Safe to say that chipotle is better than pancheros in both food and portion sizes.

Ordered 2 plain cheese quesadillas and a side of chips at 11:37pm, was advised order would be ready at 11:47, store closes at midnight. Went in to pick up order at 11:46 and was advised that they would have to refund me because they ran out of “everything” at 9:30pm. How do you run out of literally everything at 9:30pm and continue to stay open until midnight? I was refunded for the order and given an expired coupon for a free burrito, which is not what was ordered. I question how many customers were turned away before me. What’s even better, after leaving without any food, I decided to order Casey's down the road where I saw a Pancheros employee giving someone in Casey’s food in a Pancheros bag. This would have been within 10 minutes of Pancheros having closed. Not sure what there would

hospitality of the staff is commendable. The manager of this establishment actually paid out of his own pocket when the card machine shut off. Shows the quality of person and type of leader it takes to make a business more than transactional . Truly made my day and will be returning a million or so more times.

Terrance is great. He took my “OK” experience and transformed it into amazing! The other employees were also warm and hospitable. Definitely get queso on the burrito. It’s worth the extra charge.

LMFAO SO IM FROM OUT OF STATE !!! WENT TO GO GRAB SOME AND PORTION WAS LIKE CHIPOTLE LMFAO !!! I ASK FOR MORE MEAT AND GIRL THAT WORKS THERE GAVE ME 4 EXTRA SMALL AS PIECES OF MEAT LMFAO IM SO DEAD !!! WHEN MY CO WORKER SAW THE DISHES !!! I SHOULD Have JUST WENT TO A MEXICAN RESTAURANT LOL. !!!! HORRIBLE!!!
