Customer Reviews
The food at this Panera Bread was good with no issues on taste or quality. However, the customer service experience was extremely disappointing. The young lady at the counter needs serious improvement in communication. She was unusually rude in the way she addressed customers, speaking as if she was doing everyone a favor rather than providing service. I noticed multiple customers looking surprised at her behavior, so it wasn’t just my experience—it seemed to be affecting everyone in line. This was on Dec 3,2025 at around 8-9pm. This kind of attitude is unacceptable, especially in an airport where travelers are already stressed and expect courteous service. I hope the managers or person in charge take note of this and provide proper training or guidance to improve customer interaction.
This is the Panera in Terminal 4, near gate C14. The line at Zinc Brasserie was ridiculous, and i would say for a basic cup of black coffee, Panera Bread’s is probably better... i used the order kiosk, and i had my coffee in hand within 3 minutes... I think every airport terminal should have a Panera, not because it's anything special, but because it's consistent. Panera Bread’s coffee is way more consistent than it looks. The beans are 100% Arabica Rain Force Certified, and Panera actually switched to certified beans back in the 2000s, way before most major chains. Their brewers use timed clips that force staff to dump every batch at 60 minutes, which is why Panera’s coffee is almost always fresher than typical restaurant drip. The light roast is blended to stay stable in Air-Pots (the bi
I was waiting to get on a plane. I bought a bowl of French onion soup and I didn’t have a plate and I asked for a plate and I didn’t have a plate, but after I walked away, one of the gentlemen came up and gave me a to go container. That was above and beyond give him a raise.
Ok, so this is an airport food location, I get that the quality isn't necessarily going to be as high as other places. However, I expected better from a place known for their sandwiches. On the bright side, the soup was great and getting to add on a free bag of chips is a nice bonus. Also, the food came out fairly quickly, which was nice, and the sandwich bread was lovely....the sandwich itself, not so much. As you can see from the picture, I'm not sure there is any way you could mistake THAT for a Caprese Melt. Do better, Panera, do better.
I am not a Panera fan—and rarely ever enter one—but I feel like this PHX location is underrated. For the ability within an airport to get a customized healthy meal that was actually quite decent, I’m happy to give this 4-stars. I got the chicken salad with dried apples and pecans with extra chicken, + avocado, no cheese, and no dressing. Service was pleasant and food tasty.
