Panino Montecito

My favorite is the curried chicken salad on focaccia. It tastes the same as it did when I used to work at the local college in the aughts. During my holiday, I knew I had to make sure to get here. However, my only gripe has nothing to do with the restaurant but how it’s impossible to walk safely to this location. Personally it feels like (and I felt this way when I lived in the area) it’s an intentional effort to keep “certain types” of people out. It’s ironic because Panino is not a fancy place yet makes great sandwiches.

In my quest for the perfect veggie sandwich I recently stopped by Panino's. I'm not vegetarian but I love a good veggie sammich. They have a pretty good selection of vegetarian offerings, so I went with the Mixed Veggie Sandwich- Marinated sun-dried tomatoes, roasted red peppers, artichoke hearts, greens, and a few other tasty toppings. It wasn't the absolute best veggie sandwich I've had, but it was pretty good. All fresh, quality ingredients. The staff was friendly, and my food was ready in minutes. They are on the pricey side for a sandwich, but really about average for an upscale deli. I'll be back.

Solid sandwich with a great balance of meat, veggies, and fresh bread. One half is filling enough for one person, so feel free to bring a friend to split these bad boys with!

First visit on our way out of Santa Barbara. The hospitality is great! We had a turkey sandwich. The turkey is good. The avocado is very fresh and perfect! And so is the sourdough bread! We highly recommend and will revisit.

Very uncomfortable feeling here. Horrible service when ordering! Can’t even get a “welcome in” with the girls taking orders or helpful insight when having my order taken. Just be prepared for your order to be taken with zero customer service ie people skills
