Papa Joes Chicken and Waffles

I went in today for lunch and dinner take out! The young lady at the counter Valerie was very friendly and nice! I ordered at 12:41pm and received my at 1:22pm. Even though I had a long wait it was worth it! I ordered the catfish with fries & sweet potatoes. And I ordered the white chicken dinner with Mac & cheese plus the collard greens. They gave me dark meat. But, I'm sure they will get it right next time. I also ordered a slice of sweet potato pie. The food was delicious and the staff was great!👍🏾👍🏾 And the restaurant was clean!👍🏾👍🏾 I will be back!⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

So this was my first and last time. I am hella mad and disappointed first off I spent over $50 due to my daughter saying it’s good my first complaint is the shrimp and fish taste like it’s cooked in chicken grease I hate that my shrimp was like in flour idk but don’t like it… over seasoned then I am mad my fish got soggy from putting my greens in the same container instead of a paper bowl or something my freakin greens taste as if I got the bottom of the pot pure salt taste my bread was soggy from putting my bread on top of the greens times to hard to be wasting my money

They’ve moved from Main St to further north so it’s not far from me. They do have seating available but it’s not a whole lot. There are also two tvs available to watch the games while you’re waiting. The cashier was able to explain the menu and offer recommendations and food is cooked to order. I ordered the fried pork chop with yams and Mac and cheese. The pork chop was ok but I hated how crumbly it was. It also could have use a little bit more seasoning. I was not a fan of the yams but the Mac and cheese was pretty good. I did get the cherry drink but it was not sweet at all. The banana pudding was homemade and definitely the highlight of my meal. I still would go back and try something different.

When I say the food was amazing! I was a lil skeptical about the greens and even told the owner because I look mine cooked down and in the photo they didn’t look like they were. He said no trust me they good and man was he on point! He showed us so much hospitality and respect. I had to call and thank him give him his flowers before I even left a review. Everything was good and on point like I mean really I have been to a lot of places out here and this one is the best they plates is not all small And it’s packed with love and flavor! They perfectly priced as well. I will be back! Oh and btw sorry about the pic the food was so amazing I couldn’t wait lol. I got the chicken and fish combo with Mac n cheese n greens. Me and my fiancé got 2 different waffles so we can do half n half and man 😮

Well its true there will be an 35 minute wait for your food. But it will be fresh and hot there, so you gotta decide if its worth the wait. I order the chicken/shrimp combo with greens and Mac n cheese. Also the pepperoni egg rolls and PaPa punch. Well I wasn't impressed with the egg rolls. Was inspecting more from it. There was Mac and no cheese. Some may love it but I didn't. But the greens were very good and tasty. The chicken and shrimp were nice and crispy, and seasoned well. The drink was good but over price. 16 Oz for $4 is expensive for small drink. The food was good and seasoned, so I will return and try other options. So I give it 4 stars for now.
