Papa Morgan's Family Restaurant

My family stopped in for lunch on our way to Ashland. We were happy to find this quaint cafe because they were so family friendly, offering a kids menu and even crayons/ coloring while being sat. The prices were reasonable and I had a hard time deciding what to eat because there were so many options. When I found out they serve breakfast all day, I ordered the corned beef hash. It came with hash browns, eggs and toast and really hit the spot. My husband ordered a biscuit and gravy breakfast and our daughter had the kids cheeseburger. You can tell the restaurant is well loved, the booths were very worn and torn. We were treated very well during our visit and would recommend visiting to anyone looking for a cozy meal.

Server was alright. Food was alright. Lady in the kitchen pretty much ruined our experience and if i didn’t have my daughter and all her friends with us we would’ve left. as soon as we walked in we heard her complaining that we had a party of 6. It’s noon and they close at 3. Constantly heard and seen her making snide comments about our party even though we ordered quick, easy order, and were quiet. Not sure why she chose this job if she gets that mad about people coming to eat during business hours. Wish I had the experience I read about in all the reviews but unfortunately the cook was a nightmare. I’d consider training her on customer service or telling her to find a different profession cuz she’s gong to ruin this place

I likely broke some culinary rule, but we’re going to five star a diner! Super local people great food great selection great service nice, friendly ambience. Even strangers talking to each other while enjoying their meal. What’s left to ask for?

Casual atmosphere, food was excellent and service was very quick, it needed to be due to the volume of people coming in. We had breakfast at about 1pm; French Toast, Eggs, Sausage links, Biscuits and Gravy. Everything is standard fair but prepared a notch above somehow. The biscuits and gravel have red pepper flakes in them giving them a nice zip, very good. This may be the best breakfast place I have been to in my 10 years around Douglas County.

The young lady that served me was very friendly and outgoing and the food was good as well. The whole atmosphere and the way they treated the regulars that came in made me feel like I definitely wanted to come back.
