Papa's Pizza Oven Alden

Food is absolutely wonderful here. Pizza is great and so is the chicken but service staff needs some work. Went 2 weekends in a row, after trying it the first time the food was so good that I had to go back but both times I felt some kind of way about the service. First time I went in, on a Sunday night, I was standing at the counter for 5 mins while the kid rinsing the chicken wing bowl definitely noticed I was there because I saw him glance at me as soon as I walked in but only came to serve me when he saw me look back at him saying "oh." Second time I came was last night, a Saturday, and service was prompt as soon as I walked through the door but the guy behind the register was trying to hand me my boxes while my card was still in the machine. Papas Pizza is so good! It's kinda like Bocci but better. I used to go to the Lancaster location (20 miles from my house, one way)until they opened in Alden. Still 10 miles away but not complaining. The staff is so friendly. They have a great sweet sauce along with traditional. If you only want a little sweetness, ask them to mix the two. 10 stars!!

Stopped here to get some pizza before heading home. Didn’t call before hand. They were all so friendly with each other and asking one another if they needed help. Our food was done within 30 mins, as well taste yummy!

We moved to Alden a few years ago and have had some pretty bad experiences with pizza and chicken wings. We usually drive 30 minutes at least to find good pizza. We have had pizza from papas a few times and we have all loved it! Their wings were great as well.

Decided to give this place a shot last night and I am sorry to say that I wasted $30 on food that was not edible. The wings were robbery almost like they were boiled instead of fried . The median parm side had almost no sauce on them then the bbq side was loaded with sauce … weird . Pizza was somehow burnt yet undercooked?
