Paradise Sushi and Hibachi

We ordered the filet mignon and shrimp hibachi combination, a shrimp martini appetizer, and a side of fried rice. Miso soup and a salad came with the dinner. The miso soup was good, but the salad was very basic, iceberg lettuce and sliced carrot with a dressing. The salad dressing was good, but the salad was watery on the bottom. The hot sake was good. The steamed and fried rice was good The sauces that came with the hibachi plate were a little thin but I liked that better than the traditional sauces. The shrimp martini appetizer was great and I would recommend it.

We had a large reservation for 14 people (All adults except 1) that was made a week and a half prior for hibachi. When we first got there, we had to wait, then the chef was running late as well. So nothing got started until about an hour after we sat down. No blame on anyone but the floor manager. The service tho? Phenomenal. The chef was amazing and charming. Literally made for his job. My friends and I had an absolute blast. Only downside was that the chicken was overcooked and the wait even tho we had a reservation.

I recently came here with a group for hibachi to celebrate my grandmothers 75th birthday. The food was ok and the chef was entertaining, but the way the bill was handled left a really bad impression. Enough that I’ll never step foot in this place again. During dinner, the chef prepared and served fried rice for several people without asking if we wanted it or mentioning it was an additional charge. When the bill arrived, we were surprised to see multiple $8 fried rice charges totaling $40. If upgrades are offered, that should be communicated clearly beforehand so guests can make an informed choice. The billing process itself was also confusing. Is best surprise date night ever. She had no clue where we were going and the fun part was she had never been to habachi in Santa Rosa and didn't even realize one existed. That made it extra special. We got a private hibachi table with a private chef. Dias put on a great performance. He made my girlfriend's birthday extra special. We both have the steak and lobster. Try it you will like it.

Diaz brought the electricity & energy to an incredible meal! Diaz is amazing with kids (especially birthday kids) & really engaged with customers! We drive an hour north to see him in his element & it’s very worth it!!
