Parish Public Library

The Parish Public Library is an amazing treasure located in the heart of our village. Just stand on the steps of this beautiful, old, brick building and you'll know instantly that the books waiting for you aren't the only ones with a story to tell. The inside is cozy, warm and has a very comfortable vibe to it. Children have their own area downstairs. But the true gems here are the kind, helpful, friendly, AMAZING ladies who serve not only as librarians, but story tellers, balloon animal creators and welcoming committee to boot! As soon as the jingle bell on the door announces your arrival, they immediately give you a smile, a cheerful "Hi!!" and make you feel like you're at home with family. Highly recommend you stop in and take a peek. It's always worth the trip!

Perfect small town library. Great variety of books, but even those they may not have the ladies graciously find your need else where and have it sent to them. They even allow you to check out for a whole month! Being a mom that never knows what day it is im super greatful for that extension. They have a separate kids area downstairs which is adorable and really nice when you don't want to have to worry about trying to keep a child extra quite. When covid isn't an issue ms.linda is always finding fun activities to do with the kids as well which my child absolutely loves! We can't wait for that to become an option again.
