Parkside Guest House

This home is absolutely gorgeous. It was a delight just to spend time there. Carly, our host, was thoughtful and attentive and made sure that our schedules were accommodated. The breakfast was yummy as well. We would definitely return.

I’m not a big fan of b&b’s, but the Parkside is outstanding. This craftsman style facility is a beauty: all the furniture is Stickley, the detail to decor is carefully planned. The room we had was very spacious and had an excellent bathroom. The hostess is Carly, a terrific person who makes all the breakfast foods from scratch: yogurt, granola, muffins, scones, jams. She keeps the house in immaculate condition. I will stay here again when I come to Anchorage.

Outstanding experience and we highly recommend. We actually did 2 stays - one night when we 1st arrived in Anchorage, and then 2 nights a few day later after we returned from Seward before heading to Juneau. Both rooms were exceptional and very large! The woodwork was amazing! I was disappointed that we didn't have free time to just sit and enjoy the beautiful sitting room. Carly is an outstanding host. She regularly checked our schedule and accommodated breakfast to meet the guests needs including packing a to-go for our early day. The breakfasts were always fresh - fresh fruit fresh pastry, etc. You could feel that she treated everyone like family, even talking about the flowers in the yard with us. Our stay was short but wonderful and perfect! The home was spacious, homey, and very comfortable and super clean. Our host was very accommodating and friendly and made us a delicious breakfast before we hopped on the train. We walked in to downtown for some drinks and dinner which was a bit of a walk but nothing too much. The park next door is also nice and the views of the mountains in the background is truly amazing.

Our stay at the beautiful Arts and Craft Parkside Guest House was outstanding! Our room was spacious, clean, and wonderfully decorated. We also had access to a large common living area right across the hall. Carley, our host, was very accomodating, making sure we were well-fed and comfortable, even doing laundry for us while we were on a tour! Breakfast was a treat with all of her homemade options. She even packed us a lunch for our tour! We would highly recommend this bed and breakfast for your stay in Anchorage!
