Had the 2 roll lunch for 13$, noticed that the food was mediocre, and found the seats to be hard. Service was fine. Barely anyone there, so I should have taken that as a sign. A place has potential but I don't think living up to it at this time.
07/2022 update The restaurant is finally open for eat in. The lunch special was wonderful. We had a wonderful time. We ordered 9 rolls together and requested a boat. The manager remembered that I like rolls cut into 8 pieces, which is impressive after a long break . 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 🍣 10/2021: Short temper of staff and repeated mistakes in take out orders. I ordered 5 sushi lunches to go, each with 3 rolls of sushi. That's our usual order. Over time, I noticed that "accidents" and "mistakes" become more and more frequent. Most recently, we ordered our lunch about a month ago, the food came with the wrong types of rolls. we had to drive back and exchange plain vegetable rolls for the ones that we had paid for with eel and avocado. There was no apology then. This time they
I've been eating here for lunch a few times a week. The food is pretty good! Today I had a Shrimp and Mango salad. It was absolute perfection!
I’ve been going here now for about 8 years and Passion Fin has the most remarkable sushi in the DMV. It’s definitely in my top 3 sushi restaurants in Maryland. I can tell the pandemic hit them hard and they now are closed on Mondays due to understaffing. Prices have been raised so I can only justify getting some during lunch happy hour which ends at 2:45. They have good Miso soups to go and they have mastered their packaging for carry-out. There’s a few tables outside where I often enjoy my food outside but whenever I’m there closer to 3pm the inside of the restaurant is barren.
What a disgusting place and disgusting attitude of employees there! Ordered to dine in, the cashier said it would be faster to order to go. Sat down at the table and one of the employees came in and said that these tables are only for dining in. Sure, I switched my table to “to-go-only”. Not sure what the difference was - both tables right next to each other. Visited their restroom and was terrified. Dirty, no soap, paper towels laying around. Wow! The question I was thinking about when I was leaving the place - do these people have any standard at all?
