Customer Reviews
Brought my family in for the first time, and everyone—especially our guests visiting from Peru—was genuinely impressed. The flavors were authentic, the presentation was beautiful, and the service warm and welcoming. It’s not easy to please native Peruvians when it comes to traditional food, but Passion on Montgomery truly delivered. A wonderful addition to Santa Rosa!
Ordered a family meal for takeout yesterday and spent around $175 with ample tip. Was really disappointed to come home with mostly inedible food. The person cooking on Tuesday, 2/17, massively ruined our food with too much salt. It was so extensive and pervasive that it ruined every dish we ordered -- a whole roasted chicken, the French fries, the two orders of chaufa and tallarin. Each and every dish was inedible and our whole family agreed. We had to compost it. Since we served dinner a few hours after we ordered, it didn't make sense to request a refund or drive 40 mins back to the restaurant with even older food. I want to believe this was a fluke. If you're trying the restaurant for the first time, you may need to ask them not to additionally salt your food. Half Peruvian here, not
We ordered the chicken empanadas and the Lomo Saltado de Carne. The empanadas were hot, crispy, and packed with flavorful chicken filling. Each bite had a nice balance of seasoning and texture. They came with two sauces, one creamy and one spicy, both great for dipping. The Lomo Saltado de Carne was the standout. Tender strips of beef were stir-fried with tomatoes, onions, and cilantro in a rich soy balsamic sauce. It was served with a generous portion of fries and white rice, making it a complete and filling meal. The flavor was bold, slightly salty, and very satisfying. Great quality and flavors throughout. We’ll be back to try more from the menu.
Best pollo a la brasa in Sonoma! I’ve tried the ají de gallina, empanadas, ceviche, chicha morada, and the pollo a la brasa, and everything was absolutely delicious. The flavors are authentic, portions are generous, and the quality is always consistent. The service is also excellent, very kind, and welcoming!
