Patisserie Salzburg

I’ve always seen Patisserie Salzburg as a charming and reliable bakery, known for its classic selection of pastries, desserts, and coffee. What really kept me coming back, though, was their quiche. I came about a year ago and still remember how delicious it was flaky crust, rich filling, perfectly balanced flavors. I revisited today with high hopes and ordered the quiche again, but something felt off. The taste was noticeably different from what I remembered. I couldn’t tell if it was a recipe change or just a consistency issue, but it didn’t have the same richness or texture that made it stand out before. The lady who was taking the order was extremely rude and mean.The food and coffee were average.Wouldn’t recommend going to this place if you are not okay being ill treated for no reason.

We purchased a carrot cake for Thanksgiving in addition to the other desserts we had. While the cake itself is very pretty, unfortunately it disappointed once cut. The carrot cake was not dry and the frosting was not too sweet. The cake however was mostly frosting and the carrot cake layers were so thin. I wish it was the other way around, with less frosting more cake which is how I make it, I just didn’t have the time. I would not buy this cake in the future.

The lady behind counter was very rude, dismissive and just a very bad attitude. I went Friday evening, my sister and I sat outside because we had dogs. My sister went in to get the desserts and the lady was rude. I went in and asked if they had any whip cream or puppuccino, right away she said no without missing a beat and long face waiting for me to leave. I asked her if she had any pet friendly food, she said no. What bakery with cafe doesn’t have any whip cream? It’s the way she said no and dismissed my ask so fast. I wasn’t begging for free things, I don’t what her problem is. Looking at the other reviews, it seems like treats everyone this way. Dessert and coffee was ok, nothing out of the ordinary.

Had a nice visit today with friends. The interior is nice and clean and the outside seating is brilliant for a sunny day like today. We bought a berry cheesecake that was very tasty, the berries tasted nice and fresh and the cheesecake was pleasantly light. The staff was friendly. I'd recommend a visit if you're interested in some cake and pastry.
