Highly recommend! Good food and great service! Very friendly and welcoming!
We love this little place. It is a true mom and pop operation with mom running the grill and pop making the sandwiches. The food is great. They have one great waitress that runs the whole place. She is always friendly and very efficient. The place is fascinating since there are a bunch of regulars that enjoy the place. We have only been there a couple of times but we've always felt welcome and enjoy the food. The gyros and baklava just might be the best in Virginia. The place is a couple of blocks from the heart of downtown Roanoke but worth the walk. They are only open for breakfast and lunch and only take cash.
I have now been here twice and each time the Greek food has been great!! This place is cash only but they do have an ATM on site. I wish somewhere on Google it stated cash only. I have had a Gyro dinner and Souvlaki Chicken Dinner. Both are great! Served hot with salad and fries. Both of my meals were to go. The baklava is probably the best I’ve ever had and I’ve had a lot. It’s amazing!! The woman who I guess is the owner is very sweet and welcoming. I will add this place into my rotation. As for atmosphere, it gives mom and pop old school diner vibes.
Stopped by this restaurant because it was nearby where I had an appointment. The food and service was good. They took our order and the food came out quickly. I enjoyed the gyro; the piles on a lot of tzikiki sauce, and it was very good. They use those big thick French fries; I always like those. The atmosphere felt like a diner, and they had bar to sit at in addition to the tables and boothes. They don't take credit cards, which must be why there is an ATM in the back. If your in the area, you should consider this place.
Nothing special. I don’t understand scrimping on eggs. Are you so hung up on meeting a price point that you have to cut back on a three egg omelette (standard) down to two? My feta cheese omelette tasted more like American cheese. I didn’t taste feta until the last two bites, which meant there was maybe two crumbs of feta cheese in my omelette. I wouldn’t even recommend their baklava; I was tasting nutmeg for hours afterwards.
