This was our first dinner at Peacock Cafe, but it won't be our last. We enjoyed every dish! We were early for the reservation, yet seated right away! We met one of the owners who circled the restaurant. Service was prompt, and our waiter answered our questions and knew the menu well! Drinks: We ordered the hot toddy and Rosewater cocktail. Flavors on both were perfect! Absolutely amazing! Appetizers: Steamed mussels and Dolme Both were amazing, but my husband and I thought the Dolme were the best. I tend to prefer cold dolmades, and these were warm and I loved them. The grape leaves were so tender and the balance of flavors with a slight char on the outside, absolutely amazing. Peacock Café has always been my go to in Georgetown and I have lived in the area for the last 6 years. The owners are the kindest and all the staff as well. I especially love the brunch on Saturday and Sunday. Best scrambled eggs :) I promise whether you come for brunch, lunch, or dinner you will never be disappointed. Beautiful flowers at the bar, where I usually dine. Great atmosphere, too. Not too loud and well lit.

We stopped by Peacock Cafe this morning and had a great experience. We were asked if we had a reservation and were seated shortly after. We got the cheeseburger and the James Dean sandwich—both were really good. Nice spot overall with solid food and service

If you are on a gluten free diet, this restaurant is a real treat. This is the ONLY restaurant I know of in the entire DC area that offers gluten free French toast!!! It is really yummy. It is gluten free cinnamon raison bread that they make into French toast. It is served with maple syrup that has few slices of bananas in it. It is always served warm. (Be sure to look for the bananas. If the French toast is served with sliced strawberries, that is the wheat based French toast.) This restaurant also has gluten free bread so most of their sandwiches can be made gluten free upon request. And they can make their eggs benedict gluten free by using their gluten free toast.
