Peels On Wheels Pizza Garage

We got the buy 2 get one Detroit style pizza. The trio was my favorite! My least favorite was the white top. I almost added shallots and truffle to it, but I went plain just to taste it. I should've added the toppings.

Right from the start of placing an order over the phone, the staff member was fantastic!! Super friendly and informative. When I went into the pizza shop I was greeted so nicely, and had a discussion with two staff members at the counter as if I’ve know them for years. They described the differences in the variety of pizzas they offer, how they use locally sourced garlic and other ingredients, and have their olive oil imported specially. The pizza was absolutely delicious! Perfect crispy thin crust that is still foldable, authentic NY style. The ricotta is indescribably delectable!! It was the best white pizza my husband and I have ever had, and he lived in NYC for 4 years! This is a must try!!

When you go to Peels on Wheels, you’re not just getting incredible food, you’re getting an education. If the owner, Luis, is there, he’s always happy to talk about the dough, the locally sourced ingredients, and baking process, which makes you appreciate every bite even more. Beyond the pizza, the Friday chicken cutlet sandwiches are absolutely drool-worthy, and the arancini is some of the best I’ve ever had. It’s artisanal pizza with an artisanal price, but they consistently offer specials and a rewards program that make it more accessible. Peels is must-visit, again and again!

OK, a few things about this restaurant. First of all the way they structure their menu is fantastic with different types of food on different days and it just makes you want to come back on different days and try out different stuff. They also offer a subscription service which 100% would be worth it if you were going to order here multiple times throughout the year. Offers up to 30% off each order. The overall prices without the subscription service are almost highway robbery. You are paying the same cost of a sheet pizza from some places as you would for a large pizza from this place. Pizza is made very well and the bread/crust was awesome and the seasoning and the way everything came together was excellent. Best pizza in Rochester by far. Luis and his team work so hard to provide such an amazing product for their customers. Go support if you haven't! Both the regular and gluten free pizzas are top notch. They also have different types of starters/appetizers that are to die for!
