Peppas Jerk Chicken - Park Slope

They are the most expensive Peppas in Brooklyn with the smallest portions that I've ever seen, but their food is one of the best out of all the Peppas. Their small square black plastic containers are considered a large. And their catering trays are also small. The pans in the picture are what they call 'half tray' 🙄... more like quarter tray. But the rice and peas is the best in the city

Yesterday I started a no cabs diet and stumbled by this Peppas here on Park Slope and dam it was amazing, the place is clean and very tidy well put together, a tad bit small but I love cozy. I ordered the stew oxtail with my sides being steamed Cabbage, spinach and fried plantain, it was mouth watering, seasoned to perfection, oxtail well done, with the use of a fork it’s practically falling off the bone, juicy delightful flavor and exciting to the palette. The side when mixed with the gravy came together very well. Walton point and finished with a cup or Sorrel. Today I give them a ( 5 )five star rating. Will definitely be back to indulge in their other culinary delights.

I’ve gone here before not just this location and absolutely loved them but tonight I ordered at home and I’m so disappointed in what I received. I ordered a jerk chicken and curry dinner. The jerk was dry and the curry was UNCOOKED. Thankfully I check my food when eating out because my son almost at this curry, unacceptable. This is playing with people’s health. It was because I took a bit of the curry and it felt off.

Came on a Sunday afternoon expecting jerk chicken greatness. Instead got greeted by cold staff, chicken so dry that I need to file a water request from the UN, plantains that fought my teeth, underwhelming jerk sauce, and they even packed my food to-go without asking, while I was clearly planning to eat in. It’s edible but this place does not deserve a 4-star rating. Mid.

Stepped into a wonderful atmosphere, Good Reggae Music in the background, the Food is what we are here for. Well Peppa's did let us down, Fresh Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat, The Rasta Pasta was delicious. We will definitely be coming back!
